Queensland (QLD) Tourist Information

Queensland is one of Australia's tourist hot spots, with such famous destinations as the Great Barrier Reef, the Gold Coast, Brisbane and the Whitsundays.

Queensland is often nicknamed the Sunshine State, since it enjoys warm weather and a sizable portion of the state is in the tropics. Hence, a large percentage of the tourist/holiday destinations of QLD have some aspect of water involved - with beautiful beaches and island resorts being very popular spots to holiday at while in QLD.
